So I mentioned this version a while back and said I would post it and then never did. But tonight I am seeing the Mountain Goats, so I figure we should celebrate that fact by collectively listening to and screaming along with the Break Up Song National Anthem. And do scream along, because it’s the crowd participation that makes this one special— it’s not just John Darnielle’s song, y’all, and this many people shouting until they’re sore-throated is a reminder that the feeling you have that Darnielle expresses so beautifully is shared by a lot of people.
